Hi, I’m Hicham — a certified surf coach based in Imsouane, Morocco, with over 22 years of experience teaching people how to catch waves. I’ve been coaching in Imsouane since 2019, and I teach because I love seeing the joy in people as they progress, gain confidence, and learn to ride waves.

I want to share with you my passion for surfing — the feeling of gliding across water, the connection with the ocean, and the small victories along the way. Through my lessons, I share the experience, philosophy, and techniques I’ve developed over the years to help you feel comfortable in the water, improve your skills, and ride more waves.

I focus on building strong fundamentals that allow you to progress with confidence — giving you tools and knowledge you can carry with you to any surf break in the world. Your surf journey doesn’t stop here — it continues with every new coastline you explore.

About Our Surf School

Hi Surf School is a locally run surf school in Imsouane, offering lessons for all levels — from first-timers to returning surfers looking to improve their skills. We create a fun, supportive, and relaxed atmosphere, both in and out of the water.

We adapt our coaching to your experience, goals, and pace. Each session begins on the beach, where we take time to get to know you, warm up, and talk through surf theory, safety, and technique. Once in the water, we choose a location that suits your ability and ensures a safe, focused learning environment.

After the session, we debrief together — reflecting on what went well, what to improve, and what to focus on next. Our aim is to help you leave with insights that carry into your next lesson, solo session, or surf trip.

As locals, we know these waves inside and out. We’ll help you understand how tides, winds, and currents shape your session — and how to read the ocean with confidence wherever you go.

Surfing in Imsouane is about more than just waves — it’s about connection. Whether it’s sharing tea after your surf or walking through the village, we’re here to help you feel the rhythm and spirit of this special place.
